Hadiyah Sama is an author based in Surrey, England. She has an MA in Creative Writing from Brunel University of London. When not writing, she spends her time reading, and crying over cats and fictional characters.

Hadiyah writes books that feature BIPOC leads, with many books focusing on the recurrent themes of anti-colonialism, resistance, and found family.

Hadiyah’s novels have been long-listed in the Times/Chicken House Children’s Novel Competition ‘23, The CNP Top 100 ‘25, the Caledonia Novel Prize ‘25, and she has been shortlisted in the Future Worlds Prize ‘26.
